Crisp & Simmer is a small team kitchen built around one idea: weeknight cooking gets easier when recipes are organized by how you cook, not just what you cook. Crisp is the air fryer side of the house — golden edges, fast turnarounds. Simmer is the slow cooker, the soup pot, and the casserole dish doing quiet work while you get on with your evening.
How our recipes are checked
Every recipe on this site passes the same checklist before it's published: exact temperatures and times (not "cook until done"), internal-temperature targets taken straight from USDA food-safety standards, and cooking parameters cross-checked against multiple independently tested versions of the same dish — if the numbers don't agree, we take the conservative side. We stick to well-proven home cooking rather than untested experiments, and when a reader tells us something's off, we retest the numbers and correct the article fast. When a recipe gets updated, the date at the top changes — we keep recipes current rather than letting them rot.
